Motorcyclist Dies in Staten Island Head-On Collision

Police said Nicholas Valero, 28, was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson north on Richmond Hill Road near Edinboro Road at about 9:10 p.m. Sunday when he was involved in a head-on collision with a 2021 Hyundai Elantra. Valero was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene, according to police. The 53-year-old Hyundai driver stayed at the scene, near La Tourette Golf Course, and police reported no immediate charges.

The crash happened at about 9:10 p.m. Sunday near Richmond Hill Road and Edinboro Road. Police told the Daily News that Nicholas Valero was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson north on Richmond Hill Road when he was involved in a head-on collision with a 2021 Hyundai Elantra.
Valero was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene, police said. The 53-year-old Hyundai driver remained there, and police reported no immediate charges.

The collision occurred near Richmond Hill Road and Edinboro Road on Staten Island, by La Tourette Golf Course. Police said Valero lived about two and a half miles away in New Dorp Beach.
