Police said a 57-year-old box truck driver was turning from Roosevelt Avenue onto 64th Street in Woodside when a 25-year-old Kawasaki rider hit the truck and died at the scene.

Police said the box truck driver and the motorcycle rider were both traveling west on Roosevelt Avenue in Woodside at about 7:45 a.m. when the driver turned right onto 64th Street. The Daily News reported that video showed the truck driver first moving left toward the middle of Roosevelt Avenue, then cutting right for the turn, as the rider hit the passenger side and was thrown from his Kawasaki motorcycle. The 25-year-old rider died at the scene. The 57-year-old driver remained there, and police had made no arrests as of the Daily News report. A police source told the paper investigators were looking at whether the rider had been traveling between lanes.
