Garbage truck driver kills 75-year-old on 1st Ave
A garbage truck driver speeding and changing lanes on 1st Ave hit and crushed a 75-year-old woman near E 101st St. Three people in cars were hurt while the oversized truck tore through parked vehicles.

According to the police report, a garbage truck driver going north on 1st Avenue near East 101st Street hit a 75-year-old woman who was not in the roadway, causing fatal crush injuries. Police recorded unsafe speed and unsafe lane changing. Three male drivers and two front-seat passengers in nearby vehicles reported pain or nausea after the chain of crashes.
