MTA bus driver fatally hits e-bike rider in Mott Haven
A driver in an MTA bus making a left turn at Brook Avenue and East 149th Street fatally hit a 57-year-old e-bike rider Tuesday night, and police said the driver stayed at the scene and was not immediately charged.

Reports disagreed on the driver’s age: Gothamist described the driver as 35, while the Daily News described the MTA driver as 44.
Police described an empty MTA shuttle bus and an e-bike
The official record lists a 2019 Nova bus and an e-bike. Gothamist reported that the MTA driver was operating a replacement shuttle for the 2 train and that no passengers were aboard; the Daily News also reported that the driver had no passengers.
Investigators recorded improper passing or lane use
