Brooklyn Paper reported that police said 62-year-old Isaac Karczag was driving a 2022 Buick SUV and made a left turn against the light from Wallabout Street onto Franklin Avenue, swerving into oncoming traffic before hitting 10-year-old Yitty Wertzberger in the crosswalk.
The official record says the child was a pedestrian at the intersection and was crossing with the signal. It records one person killed and no other injuries.
